BioEthanol, is produced from biomass (sugar cane and other) by fermentation, is one of the most promising renewable sources for hydrogen production. Ethanol is advantageous over other conventional substrates because it is readily available, easy to obtain from biomass and to transport, CO2 neutral and safe to handle.

There are two ways to produce Hydrogen from bioethanol using the technology of our partner. A full scale production  from an bioethanol plant on current production using a central facility to produce hydrogen or the "Decentralized  Site Production" transporting by truck   the bioethanol and using a  mobile and compact facility.

Using a Central facility make possible connecting to a Natural Gas Grid in the region and bring hydrogen to the public blending with  Natural Gas and using it on refuelling H2 vehicles, another application is produce ammonia.

Decentralized  Hydrogen production instead is useful in territories far away of the grid, and  it would be and option to diesel generation power plants and refuelling H2 vehicles in country towns and small farms, transporting only the bioethanol.

We are able to provide both options depending of client´s needs and whishes. 

But the best news is... We are able to use not only Bioethanol but also Biogas and Methanol.
